Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA Sulsel) - The central executive board of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will submit the names of candidates to head the party`s district and municipal boards early February.
After coordinating with the PDIP central executive board, the names of candidates will be handed over early in February, chairman of the party`s cadre organization and recruitment section, Dan Pongtasik, said here on Monday.
"Next month, the central executive board will submit the names of three candidates for the posts of party chiefs participating in the branch conference (Konfercab) and the regional conference (Konferda)," he stated.
The three names were discussed in a plenary meeting of the central executive board, according to a proposal sent by the board some time ago.
The names of candidates suggested by the central executive board were based on inputs from participants of the Konfercab and Konferda, he noted.
"The candidates will undergo a fitness test in February, after which they will be elected based on consultation to reach an agreement," Pongtasik affirmed.
The process of electing the candidates for the positions of PDIP chiefs refers to the central executive board`s decisions numbers 66/TAP/DPP/X1/2014 and 067/TAP/DPP/X1/2014 regarding the procedures to select and recruit through consultation to reach an agreement.
